Jo Ann Anderson passed away peacefully in her home in Ahwatukee on April 8. She was 73 years old. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, to Ernest and Ruth King. She was married to Dr. Gorlyn Anderson for 55 years. She was mother to Bradley Joseph and twins, Sherry and Shelly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest King of Corydon, Iowa; her son Bradley Anderson; and her grandson, Brandon Schwartz. She is survived by her mother, Ruth King of Winterset, Iowa; brother Jerry King of Des Moines, Iowa; husband, Dr. Gorlyn Anderson; daughters, Dr. Sherry Becco and husband Greg, Shelly Schwartz and husband Dave; grandchildren, Justin and Brooke Becco, and Brittany and Bryce Schwartz.

She enjoyed antique collecting, travel, bridge, cards with her family and country music. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother with an optimistic attitude and kind heart. She will be dearly missed.

An open house will take place at her home, 12306 S. Shoshoni, in Ahwatukee on Thursday, April 11 from 4 to 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Brandon Schwartz Memorial Scholarship fund, 3640 Moonrise Point, Colorado Springs, CO 80904, or Hospice of the Valley.
