Earlier this year, Gov. Jan Brewer signed legislation that enacted a booster seat law in Arizona. AAA Arizona recognized the individuals and entities that supported this measure as it made its way through the Legislature and to the governor’s desk for approval.
During a luncheon that took place Oct. 30, AAA recognized Sen. Linda Gray, who sponsored the legislation in 2010 and 2011, and Rep. Nancy McLain, who sponsored the legislation in 2012, after changing her position on the bill after hearing testimony during the 2011 legislative session.
AAA also recognized two physician advocates from Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Dr. Sara Bode and Dr. David Notrica.
AAA also recognized more than a dozen community partners for helping to ensure the legislation maintained momentum through grassroots efforts throughout the session.
