Murphy joins others to pay musical tribute to The Who

"A Musical Tribute to The Who," performed by Crossing 32nd Street Music Ensemble and featuring vocalists Mike Murphy and Dominic Salerno, will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, in the Center for Performing Arts Mainstage Theater at Paradise Valley Community College, 18401 N. 32nd St. Murphy is a long-time resident of Ahwatukee Foothills and the lead vocalist of the group.

The Who is an English rock band formed in 1964 by Roger Daltrey (vocals), Pete Townshend (guitar), John Entwistle (bass) and Keith Moon (drums). They initially became known for energetic live performances, which often included instrument destruction, but are now considered amongst the greatest rock bands of all time. The band was inducted into the Rock and roll Hall of Fame in 1990.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and staff, $10 for students and $8 for children.
