Local business leaders recently partnered with Roger Clyne, a Kyrene parent and front man for the band Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, and his father-in- law, businessman Dan Jellum, and hosted a casino night fundraiser for the Kyrene Family Resource Center.

The Kyrene Family Resource Center is a joint effort between the Kyrene School District and the Foundation which provides needy families access to resources which meet their basic needs: food, clothing, shelter, medical support, legal support, resource referral, scholarships and after-school programs.

The gaming for the evening included blackjack, craps and roulette. More than 75 local residents came out to support the event, which raised nearly $3,000 for the Kyrene Family Resource Center. The funds will be used for the basic necessities for kids in need to succeed in community schools.
