Registration is now open for all southeast valley girls to enter the fourth annual local preliminary pageant, which will be on Nov. 13. A free orientation and workshop will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 30, at Gilbert's Premiers Performing Arts Academy.

The Maricopa County Southeast Valley Cinderella Scholarship Program is a non-profit organization focused on developing self-esteem, confidence and pride in the young ladies who come and "Dare to Dream."

The Cinderella competition is divided into five age divisions: Tot (3 to 6), Mini-Miss (7 to 9), Miss (10 to 12), Teen (13 to 17) and Woman (18 to 26). Participants are judged on poise and personality during a backstage interview and while modeling casual and formal wear. The four older divisions are also judged on talent presentations. Cinderella Tots (ages 3 to 6) have an on-stage interview in lieu of talent. All contestants participate in a photogenic competition conducted from pictures provided by the family. An optional Cover Girl (photogenic) competition is also available again this year.

Overall Cinderella winners, Cinderella Girls (beauty), Talent/Tot Personality and Photogenic winners receive their $75 entry fee paid by the local pageant to attend the 2011 Arizona State Finals in Laughlin, Nev., in June. Winners at the state and international levels win college scholarships.

For more information on the program and workshop, contact Andrea Fynan at (602) 469-2287 or fynangirls@live.com.
