Subway Restaurants of Arizona announced that Ahwatukee resident Mark Roden, a local Subway franchisee for more than 25 years, has been named chairman of the 2014-2015 Subway Franchisee Advertising Fund Trust of Arizona (SFAFT). Local franchisees have also elected Chad Barnett, Sean Brown, David Candioto, Ed Flores, Tom Hall and Les White as board members.

The SFAFT board oversees the marketing efforts for Subway franchisees throughout the Phoenix and northern Arizona markets, including all advertising, promotions, public relations and other activities designed to increase business at individual franchise locations.

In addition to overseeing more than 50 Subway locations statewide and serving as the SFAFT chairman, Roden is also the co-founder and executive director of Subway Kids & Sports of Arizona, an organization focusing on increasing children’s self-esteem, encouraging the community to become involved in the lives of at-risk children, and promoting volunteerism in local schools.
