Belle Kurtz of Ahwatukee Foothills was recently selected to participate in the 2012 Miss Pre-Teen Phoenix/Tucson pageant competition that will take place on Sunday, April 1.
Kurtz will be competing in the Miss Pre-Teen division, one of four divisions that will have young ladies ages from 7 to 19 competing in modeling routines, which include casual wear and formal wear.
Kurtz will also display her personality and interviewing skills with this year’s Phoenix/Tucson judging panel. Personality is the No. 1 aspect that each contestant is judged on during all phases of competition.
If Kurtz were to win the title of Miss Pre-Teen Phoenix/Tucson, she would represent Phoenix/Tucson and the surrounding communities at the National Competition that will take place in Orlando, Fla.
More than $30,000 in prizes and awards will be presented at the National Competition while each winner enjoys this expense paid trip of five nights and six days in Orlando.
Kurtz is 10 years old and has resided in Ahwatukee since 2004. She attends 5th grade at Kyrene del Milenio and has been studying martial arts since the age of 5. She holds a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, first degree black belt in Hapkido and blue belt in Muay Thai (kick boxing).
Belle loves animals and drawing. One of her favorite activities is making artful signs and posting them around the house.
