On Monday, the Ahwatukee Retirement Center Support Our Troops program successfully packaged 108 care boxes that were delivered to Luke Air Force Base on Wednesday. From there, the packages will be delivered to servicemen and servicewomen station in the Middle East this holiday season. Along with snacks and goodies, each care packages includes a hand-made Christmas sock, crafted by the ARC Quilters, and a Santa hat.
Since October of 2008, the ARC Support Our Troops program has successfully packaged 650 care boxes.
