Jesse Butts

Jesse Butts, a longtime Ahwatukee resident, was joined by friends and family on July 21 for his 100th birthday. His son, Dr. James Butts, and family, traveled from California. His daughter, Vicki Carmichael, also attended the gathering at Windmill Suites in Chandler.
Jesse grew up in Texas working in the oil fields. He gives credit for his longevity to a steady diet of biscuits and gravy. Some of the best can be found in Ahwatukee, he said.
