Timothy Chapman, CT/MRI supervisor for Chandler Regional Medical Center's Radiology Department, has been awarded the 2011 Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award by Gateway Community College.

Adjunct faculty members are the lifeblood and part-time stable force supporting the Maricopa Community College District. Those in occupational areas, such as radiology, are especially important as they bring current practice into the classrooms. The award is presented annually to the most outstanding adjunct faculty member at each of the 10 colleges within the Maricopa Community College District. Criteria for selection include professional credentials, service as an instructor and advisory board member, leadership and service to the community, teaching and classroom skills, inclusion and respect for diversity, innovative approaches to use of technology and resources, and continued education in one's discipline.
