Lisa J. Pino, president and CEO of United Food Bank of Arizona, was honored with the Arizona State University’s Los Diablos 2013 Horquilla Award during their Fall Hispanic Convocation on Dec. 18.

The 2013 Horquilla Award recognizes the recipient’s leadership in advocating for the undeserved and promoting human and civil rights. Past honorees have included: Maricopa County Supervisior Mary Rose Wilcox, local playwright James Garcia, ASU Vice President Dr. Christine Wilkinson, and community leader David Cavazos.

Pino was named United Food Bank’s fourth president and CEO and first female president in September 2013.
