Edward J. Donahue, MD, has been named chief medical officer of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. Part of St. Joseph’s team for more than 30 years, Dr. Donahue previously served in several leadership positions at the hospital including chief of surgery, chair of the Cancer Committee, and vice chief of staff.

In his new position, Donahue will focus on quality of care, the patient experience, medical staff relations and growth at St. Joseph’s. He replaces Dr. Charles Alfano who is retiring.
