Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest (LSS-SW) announced that the Rev. Robert E. Duea will serve as interim president and CEO.

Duea will work from the LSS-SW administrative offices at 10201 S. 51st St., Suite 180 in Phoenix. For 27 years, he led Lutheran Family Services of Oregon and LSS of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. Prior to working with Lutheran agencies, he served as pastor of a congregation in Bethesda, Md. During his LSS-SW tenure, he will focus on defining leadership needs and strengthening LSS-SW’s faith-based partnerships.

LSS-SW, a pan-Lutheran organization, was started in 1970 to care for the most vulnerable by showing kindness, doing justice and serving those in need. LSS-SW partners with individuals, congregations and agencies in 10 Arizona counties to offer services and resources that inspire hope and create a stronger, healthier community.
