Each of the 29 Republican women's clubs in the state are working on projects targeted to caring for the community. One of the local clubs, the Ahwatukee Republican Women, recently donated a check for $500 to go to diapers and supplies to First Way as part of the group's Caring for the Community Program. First Way, a nonprofit organization, has been serving central Phoenix for more than 40 years. Their staff provides educational support to any woman who is pregnant or thinks she may be. This is accomplished through the free, loving, and non-judgmental provision of education, peer counseling and practical services.
