Soul Shock Dance Company at Phoenix Dance Cooperative

The newly founded Phoenix Dance Cooperative, with its Soul Shock Dance Company, had an outstanding showing at the recent Kid's Artistic Review (KAR) dance competition at the Mesa Arts Center.

Most notable was the winning of the Federation of Dance Competition's "People's Choice Award" for its routine Turn to Stone.

This award is chosen at the consensus of all judges for the best routine out of all 499 routines that competed.

The award highlights:

• Highest scoring intermediate dance :Turn to Stone. Choreographers: Antoine Olds and Ambur Towns. Dancers: Taylor Clinton, Lauren Dudley, Gabi Ford, Nicole Kaiden, Kelly Molera, Maren Olson, Emma Kate Ring, Sophie Spencer and Ally Trevino.

• Highest scoring primary dance: Glam. Choreographers: Antoine Olds and Ambur Towns. Dancers: Jada Ballard, Kylee Clinton, Olivia Evans, Alexandria Pomroy, Tyler Tapia, Ansley Hare and Cameron Hare.

The Phoenix Dance Cooperative studio is located in Ahwatukee Foothills at 12020 S. Warner-Elliot Loop. Classes are offered six days a week for ages 3 to adult.
