Laura Gallaher and Johnny Nguyen have announced their engagement to be married. They will exchange vows Oct. 8 at the Phoenix Art Museum.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Wendy and Paul Gallaher of Ahwatukee-Foothills. She was salutatorian of her 2000 graduating class at Desert Vista High School and in 2004 earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Arizona State, a master's and a doctorate in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Central Florida in 2010. She has been employed by NASA at Kennedy Space Center since 2006 and is currently the organizational development lead.
The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Juliette and Tu Nguyen of Cocoa, Fla. He graduated from Titusville High School in 1997, earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 2001, and a master's degree from the University of Central Florida in 2004. NASA has been his employer since 1998, where he is chief of the fluids testing and technology development branch.
Johnny and Laura met at NASA and will continue fulfilling careers there following the wedding.
