Genevieve H. Sawicki passed away in California on Sept. 29 at the age of 89. She was born in Detroit and worked for the Bell Telephone Company and the Farmington Public School System, in addition to raising her family.
Sawicki was predeceased by her husband, James, in 2006. Gen and Jim enjoyed their 25 years as Ahwatukee Foothills residents. Gen was a member of the Ahwatukee Women's Club and the Women's Bridge Club. She enjoyed oil painting classes and numerous parties at the Ahwatukee Recreation Center.
She is survived by daughters Mary (Jerry) Saylor and Adrianne (Joseph) Nowicki; and grandchildren Katherine and Elizabeth Nowicki.
