Jennifer Klingberg, a nurse and community liaison for Hospice of the Valley, is receiving a Spotlight on Success Award from ONE Community for her work in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. Klingberg and 11 others will be honored Oct. 19 at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown for their commitment to diversity.

ONE Community is an interactive web and events community for the LGBT community and allied individuals and businesses.

Klingberg has been with nonprofit Hospice of the Valley for nearly 17 years and has served as a community liaison for the past year, focusing on the LGBT community.

She is passionate about her work promoting the agency’s commitment to diversity and programs in the LGBT community.

She works to build relationships within the community, provide health education and connect individuals to bereavement support groups.

Klingberg’s honor comes as Hospice of the Valley is working to enhance its grief support services to the LGBT community. For more information, visit hov.org
