Matthew Kossick, a senior at Mountain Pointe High School (MPHS), has been selected for the 2014 High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall. He will perform at Carnegie Hall in February with the Honors Band as percussionist. Participation in the 2014 High School Honors Band at Carnegie Hall is limited to the highest rated high school performers from across North America and select schools internationally.

Kossick studies music and percussion with Joshua Hartgrove and Scott Mitchell of MPHS and Chris Reidy of Mesa Community College. He is a member of the MPHS Lionhearts Marching Band, the MPHS Wind Ensemble, the MPHS Jazz Band and the Mountain View Lutheran Church e44 young adult band.
