What Dogs Want food drive

Stefanie Strackbein (right), owner of What Dogs Want pet sitting in Ahwatukee Foothills, collected dog and cat food to donate to Friends for Life Animal Rescue in Gilbert. This week she made a trip to the Ahwatukee Foothills News, where many readers donated items. Strackbein was helped by her daughter (far left) Maren Bussey and her friend Maggie Cox, along with special client Alice the dog. Both girls are students at Horizon Community Learning Center in Ahwatukee. The four collected more than 350 pounds of dog and cat food during the holiday season to help the shelter.
