Josh Glider, assistant director of the Kyrene Community Education and Outreach Services Department, and Marisa Vega, program coordinator for Brisas Elementary Kyrene Kids Club, were among the finalists for the 2012 After School Awards of Excellence.

Winners will be named in each category at the 11th Annual Spotlight On After School on Nov. 3 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Phoenix Convention Center, West Building Ballroom, 100 N. 3rd St. in downtown.

The awards recognize innovative after-school programs and staff for their exemplary work in furthering the delivery of quality child development programs in out-of-school-time settings.
