Kyrene del Milenio and the Kyrene School District Governing Board approved Carrie Furedy as the school’s principal this week.
Last spring, Furedy began working for the school as an interim principal, with the option of not returning this coming school year.
“It’s my home now officially, where as before I would have had to leave after the school year ended,” said Furedy. “I’m excited, I absolutely can’t imagine working anywhere else.”
The district elects to hire an interim principal when an opening that occurs late in the school year, said Assistant Superintendent Dr. Gina Taylor.
