The Tempe Union High School District will be hosting a free financial-aid workshop for high school students who are interested in going to college.

Workshops are designed to help parents and students beat the ever increasing cost of a college education using strategies that save families money no matter what their income level.

Along with learning about the required paperwork, participants will discover insider tips and techniques to avoid costly mistakes. Parents will also be given the opportunity to learn their current Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as determined by the federal government.

This year’s workshop will be at Corona del Sol High School, 1001 E. Knox Road in Tempe, on Thursday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.

Reservations are required and can be made on the website at www.ArizonaCollegePlanners.com or by calling (480) 654-6266.
