On Thursday, May 12, Kyrene de los Cerritos Elementary School, A Leadership Academy, will host its first Leadership Day.  The school's motto, "Leaders of Today, Inspiring Leaders of Tomorrow" is the theme for the day, and community leaders (both public and private) are encouraged to attend the all day leadership gathering. Cerritos educators understand the importance of community involvement in the success of their school's mission to nurture young leaders. Both staff and students are looking forward to community leaders being an important part of this special leadership day.

Events will begin at 8 a.m. at the school, 14620 S. Desert Foothills Pkwy., and will include a tour of the leadership academy, an opportunity to meet and speak with student leaders, a leadership luncheon and presentations from the student leaders.  The day should be both educational and a lot of fun.

If interested in attending, RSVP by calling the school office at (480) 783-1200.  Space is limited, but names will also be accepted for a waiting list in case more space is made available.
