South Mountain Community College (SMCC) is presenting a one-day, four-hour course entitled "How to Become a Certified Substitute Teacher." The course includes everything aspiring substitute teachers need to know, including lesson plans, discipline, contacts, expectations, forms and other details. The class will enable any student who possesses a bachelor's degree in any discipline to become a certified substitute teacher. The class will be offered on Saturday, March 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the SMCC Main Campus, 7050 S. 24th Street in Phoenix, just north of Baseline Road.
