The DVHS marching band won the ASU Band Day competition on Oct. 23 by taking the grand champion trophy among 16 bands. DVHS was awarded all five caption awards in division 5A with best scores in the categories of percussion, guard, music, visual and general effect. They will go on to compete in Riverside, Calif., at the WBA-RCC competition. This Saturday, Nov. 6, DV will host the AZ State Marching Festival Semifinals in the stadium. The public is invited.
