Nine outstanding professors will be inducted into the top ranks of academia at ASU on Feb. 17, honored for their extraordinary contributions in the classroom and in their fields of expertise. Rachel Fuchs of Ahwatukee, professor of French history, has been selected as a Regent's Professor.

Regents' Professor is the highest faculty honor awarded at ASU, conferred on faculty who have made pioneering contributions in their areas of expertise and who enjoy international recognition for these accomplishments. She also is a beloved teacher and mentor who has won many teaching awards and whose students often stay in touch with her for years after graduation.

The formal induction ceremony will be at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17 in the Paul G. Galvin Playhouse.
