Arizona Center for Afterschool Excellence offering 5 grants to incorporate or expand technology learning

Five after-school programs in Arizona will each be awarded a $1,500 grant by the Arizona Center for Afterschool Excellence to create new or expanded ways to incorporate technology-based learning in after-school programs.

Applications for the grants are being accepted until Friday, Sept. 9 from after-school or out-of-school-time programs serving children 6 to 18 years old. Applications, which can be downloaded by visiting http://azafterschool.org/TechGrant.aspx, must include a full description of how the technology will be used, expected educational benefits and a budget.

Technology grant applications can be submitted to mmclintock@azafterschool.org or by mail to the Arizona Center for Afterschool Excellence, 112 N. Central Ave., Suite 700, Phoenix, Ariz. 85004.
