In honor of the 14th annual national Lights On Afterschool celebration this Thursday, Oct. 17, Kyrene Kids Club and Kyrene After Hours will join more than 1 million Americans in more than 8,000 communities nationwide in an event organized by the Afterschool Alliance to rally support for after-school programs.

There are 17 Kyrene Kids Club programs at local elementary schools and six Kyrene After Hours programs in Ahwatukee, Chandler and Tempe. Significant “Lights on Afterschool” activities will include those at Kyrene de las Manitas and Kyrene Monte Vista and Kyrene de la Colina.
