The Kyrene School District is offering free financial classes for kids, teens and parents in a three-part series this month at Kyrene Middle School, 1050 E. Carver Road in Tempe..
The classes will be on Feb. 19, Feb. 26 and March 5. Topics will include building a better budget, taking charge of credit, preparing for home purchase. Free dinner and refreshments will be served each night from 5:30 to 6 p.m. with the whole session running from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult attending the financial workshop. Weekly games and prizes will be available for kids and teens.
In addition, every child who completes the three-workshop series gets a $10 gift card or two movie tickets.
