Fashion merchandising students at the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT), 1601 W. Main St. in Mesa, will show off their design skills at the annual Spring Fashion Show at 6 p.m. Thursday on the EVIT campus. The event will showcase what the students have learned about fabric, patterns and garment design throughout the school year.

Nearly 50 fashion students will have an opportunity to show off their designs. Second-year students each designed an entire eight-piece collection, including one red carpet gown and one piece that has been dyed with natural materials. First-year students partnered up to create four outfits for the runway and two for themselves.

Tickets are $5 for general seating, $10 for premier and $20 for VIP. For more information or tickets, contact Kristen Johnson at (480) 461-4141 or or visit
