The Desert Vista High School Marching Band was one of two AZ bands competing against bands from six other states in the 33rd Annual Fiesta Bowl National Marching Band Championship on Thursday, Dec. 30, at the University of Phoenix stadium. Capping an incredibly successful marching season, DV was awarded the 2nd place trophy and two individual captions for Visual Performance and General Effect. The following day, Friday Dec 31, DV marched in the Fiesta Bowl parade and was honored with another General Effect caption and the 2nd place parade award as well. Congratulations to the students and staff for an incredible 2010 marching season!
