Kyrene district office open Dec. 31 for tax credit donations

The Kyrene School District Office will open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31 to accept last-minute tax credit donations. The Arizona Tax Credit Program (A.R.S. 43-1089.01) allows Arizona taxpayers to donate up to $400 to a school of their choice in support of extracurricular programs and get their entire donation back in the form of a tax credit.

South Mountain Community College (SMCC) was selected as a finalist for 2015 Bellwether Award finalist in the area of Instructional Programs and Services. This category represents programs or activities that have been designed and successfully implemented to foster or support teaching and learning in the community college. In addition to SMCC, the Maricopa County Community College District was also selected as a finalist in this category for its Maricopa “Millions OER Project: Scaling Use of ExtraOERdinary Materials.”
