BeagleFest is the largest gathering of Beagles in Arizona and helps raise awareness of the breed and the rescue organization. This year’s BeagleFest will feature pet services, a DJ, vendors, contests, raffles and a silent auction.

A parade featuring all the Arizona Beagle Rescue (AZBR) alumni of rescued Beagles will also be held. BeagleFest 2014 will be held on March 9 at the Ruben Romero Corporate Ramada at Kiwanis Park in Tempe from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Socialized beagles and honorary beagles on leashes are invited to attend along with their people. Admission is $5 per person; dogs and kids under 10 are Free. All proceeds from this event go directly to AZBR to help rescue beagles from the kill list in the county shelters. There will be a number of adoptable Beagles at the event that are hoping to find their forever homes.

All Beagles adopted through Arizona Beagle Rescue are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption. During the months of February and March the adoption fees for dogs 9 years and older will be reduced to $50. AZBR is also seeking volunteers to help staff this event. For more information go to: www.azbeaglerescue.com and click on BeagleFest.
