Local no-kill shelter, HALO Animal Rescue, is celebrating 19 years of saving animals’ lives with a special offer of $19 dog and cat adoptions for animals 4 months and older. Visit the main shelter and Deer Valley locations through Aug. 31 to take home a new “furever” friend.

Prices also apply at their PetSmart and new Petco locations. This adoption event is a great way to give a secure and loving life to animals that have been surrendered, abandoned, mistreated, or have weathered the summer’s harsh conditions.

HALO’s specialty is to provide a refuge to those pets who might otherwise be destroyed at other Valley shelters for reasons such as a treatable injury, illness, or those who are too scared or too young to go up for adoption at their time of arrival.

At HALO, these animals are lovingly cared for while they are prepared for adoption. Each pet adopted from HALO is spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed. All cats have tested negative for FELV, and cats over six months of age have tested negative for FIV.
