The Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL) and Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is making its most popular education program available to teens in the East Valley with a fall session, Camp Vet Basic, a week-long, full-day camp for 12 to 17 years olds. This hand-on career discovery program introduces campers to a wide variety of animals and the care they require, while learning what it takes to become a veterinarian. The camp is offered at the Arizona Agribusiness and Equine Center Red Mountain campus, 2165 N. Power Road., Mesa, Oct. 7-11. The cost is $245 for current AAEC students and AAWL Teen Tracks members, and $275 for non members. Register for the camp online at https://aawl.org/ssl.events/camp-vet-aaec-0.
