Open house, special adoption, microchipping event set for Jan. 27

Friends for Life Animal Rescue will host an open house event featuring its long-term animals looking for new beginnings and to show off their recent remodeling projects from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27 at the Friends for Life Adoption Center, 143 W. Vaughn Ave., in Gilbert.

The one-time event will feature low-cost microchipping from the Higley Road Pet Clinic, a bake sale with all the proceeds going towards the care of the long-term furry friends, and multiple vendors. Free coffee and tea provided by Starbucks will be available to go along with bake sale items for purchase.
