The Young Marines would like to invite you to come to this Monday's meeting on the Oct. 25 at the National Guard Amory, 2100 S. Cooper Road in Chandler to see Sheriff Joe speak about drug abuse, beginning at 6:45 p.m.

The Young Marines is a youth education and service program for boys and girls, ages 8 through 18 that promote the mental, moral, and physical development of its members. The program focuses on character building, leadership, and promotes a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The Young Marines are the focal point for the U.S. Marine Corps' youth Drug Demand Reduction efforts. We work on drill, physical fitness, and community service. We also participate in parades like the Veterans Day Parade at Tempe Town Lake. Meetings are every Monday night from 6:00 p.m. To 8:30 p.m. New members will go through recruit training to learn everything they need to know while the Young Marines carry out their regular meeting.

For more information call Pam Camacho (adult advisor), Young Marine Sgt. Kenneth Moser at (602) 432-3289, or Captain George B. Meegan (Unit commander) at (480) 619-0728.
