Thousands of local breast cancer survivors, volunteers, businesses and community members will walk together as a unified force to end breast cancer.

The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 3-mile walk at Tempe Beach Park, 80 W. Rio Salado Parkway, will be on Oct. 27. Registration for the walk opens at 7 a.m.

This noncompetitive, inspirational event raises awareness and funds to help end breast cancer by supporting the society’s efforts to find cures and support programs and services for all people facing the disease.
