Brides Against Breast Cancer Nationwide Tour of Gowns

Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to granting wishes to men and women battling stage IV breast cancer, has kicked off the Brides Against Breast Cancer Nationwide Tour of Gowns, which will make a stop at the Scottsdale Cottonwoods Resort & Suites, 6160 N. Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, Sept. 18 and 19. A preview shopping spree will run from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 18 ($20 admission), and the general sale will run from noon to 8 p.m. Sept. 18 and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 19 (free admission).

The Nationwide Tour of Gowns travels to about 50 cities per year with truckloads of discounted wedding gowns for sale, which have been donated to the organization by famous designers, manufacturers, retailers and individuals. Prices start at just $199. Proceeds benefit Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation.

Brides interested in donating their gowns (2006 and newer) to Brides Against Breast Cancer may drop them off through Sept. 17 at Strut Bridal Salon, 542 W. McDowell Road. Call (602) 252-4414 or visit for store hours. Gown donations will also be accepted anytime during the sale on Sept. 18 and 19.

While the Nationwide Tour of Gowns is in town, Making Memories will also be searching for deserving residents in the area with stage IV breast cancer that would like dreams fulfilled. Direct deserving individuals to to secure a wish packet.
