"Health for a Lifetime," a series of free workshops presented by the city of Phoenix Human Services Department and St. Joseph's Hospital and MedicalCenter, offers health information for older adults and the community.

The next workshop, "Think First, Prevent Injuries" will be from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, at the Chinese Senior Center, 734 E. Elm St. For more information, call 602-262-6411.

Lucy Ranus, registered nurse and program coordinator for Barrow Prevention Department at St. Joseph's Hospital and MedicalCenter, is the Arizona director for the Think First Injury Prevention Foundation. Her presentation will teach individuals to "think first" and use their minds to protect their bodies from serious brain and spinal cord injuries related to car crashes, recreational, water-related incidents and violence.
