Families and caretakers are invited to a detailed workshop to learn recent advances in medical treatment for children with Down syndrome. Seminar topics include: A Parent’s Perspective, New AAP Guidelines for Care, Developmental Pediatrics/Dual Diagnosis, Rehabilitation Milestones, Transitioning to Adult Care, Visits to the Emergency Room, ENT/Allergy, and Comprehensive Heart Care.
Experts from Phoenix Children’s Medical Group and medical staff, Dr. Heather Bartz, Dr. Wendy Bernatavicius, Dr. Robin Blitz, Dr. Melissa Harte, RN, Elizabeth Linos, OTR/L, MS, MBA, Dr. John Nigro, Dr. Scott Schraff, Dr. and Sara Stimson will share innovations in medial treatment. Lynda Christel, a mother and employee at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, will offer a parent’s perspective.
It will take place on Phoenix Children’s Hospital Main Campus, at the Rosenberg Children’s Medical Plaza — Melvin Cohen Conference Center, 1920 E. Cambridge Ave. in Phoenix on May 12 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
