Desert Schools Federal Credit Union hosted its 16th annual Children’s Miracle Network Charity Golf Tournament on March 3, benefiting Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

The 2014 tournament raised $341,000 for the two organizations, who continue to be the sole beneficiaries of the event since the tournament’s inception in 1998.

Since that time, the tournament has raised more than $2.4 million dollars, benefiting PCH’s “1 Darn Cool School” program, which provides education for children who undergo long-term treatment at the facility.

The school, open year-round five days a week, provides individualized instruction for all students, grades K-12, making it possible for the hospital’s patients to keep up with school work in a nurturing environment.
