The Association of Respiratory Care Students at Gateway Community College, in conjunction with the Arizona Lung Association, will have its first meeting of the Better Breathers Club from 2 to 4 p.m. on April 13 at Gateway, 108 N. 40th St. in Phoenix.

The club plans to host at least two sessions, which are free and open to the public, prior to breaking for the summer. Anyone with lung disease, such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or other breathing difficulties are welcome. The first meeting will feature a pre-recorded video address given by Grace Anne Dorney Koppel, JD, at the Respiratory Congress in Tampa in November 2011. The wife of anchor Ted Koppel, Grace Ann has COPD. Future meetings will be the second Friday of each month from September 2012 through May 2013 at 2 p.m.

For more information or to request a Better Breathers Brochure for more information about the club, contact Patterson at (602) 286-8507 or patterson@gatewaycc.edu.
