In the health care industry, February is known as healthy heart month, but at Gateway Community College May is the month to recognize the heart, with the annual Cardiac Conference on May 1.

In its 14th year, the Cardiac Conference brings together nearly 175 health care providers interested in cardiac care and current surgical procedures.

In addition, the conference will provide a non-credit option for out-of-state health care providers and .5 college credit, which equals eight contact hours for in-state students.

For information, cost to attend and registration for the conference, contact Janey Buri at (602) 286-8546 or buri@gatewaycc.edu.
