Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers, Dignity Health members, are getting ready to accept applications for their volunteen program.

Since its inception in 2008, the program has been steadily growing. More than 350 teens have donated more than 14,000 hours.

This is an opportunity for students who may be considering a future in health care. Volunteens should be between the ages of 14 and 18 and have an interest in helping others, gaining work experience and making new friends at either medical center or one of the Dignity Health Urgent Care centers in Ahwatukee Foothills, Gilbert or Queen Creek.

To learn more about how you can become a volunteen, visit or, click “Volunteer Information,” located on the left-hand navigation bar, and select “Application Information.”

The volunteen applications will be available March 1-22.
