Join a dementia specialist from Banner Alzheimer’s Institute at the upcoming GPS lecture this Friday at the Ahwatukee Recreation Center.

GPS is a free lecture series offered monthly that explores various aspects of Alzheimer’s disease/dementia, care giving and brain health.

Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. Alzheimer’s disease warning signs include forgetting people’s names and events, asking repetitive questions, loss of verbal or written skills and confusion over daily routines.

The lecture series will begin on Friday, April 12 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Ahwatukee Recreation Center, 5001 E. Cheyenne Drive.

Cost is free, though registration is required.
