Cardon Children's Medical Center, 1400 S. Dobson Road, Mesa, invites patients and the community to help celebrate its first birthday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30.
The free event, commemorating the first anniversary in its new home and 10 years of its pediatric program, will feature food, music, safety, health education, fall celebration, health screenings, fitness contests, dunk-a-doc and a toy drive. The toy drive will collect new, unwrapped toy and book donations to fill toy closets at Cardon Children's Medical Center (patients visit these special closets following hospital procedures). Bike helmets will be given away to the first 200 children and 200 free flu shots will be available to kids.
