A one-day course in safe, baby-sitting lessons will be offered by Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert medical centers on Sept. 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Rome Towers in Gilbert, located at 1760 E. Pecos Road, Suite 235.

Adolescents between the ages of 11 and 13 will receive hands-on training and practice in basic life-saving skills, including CPR, from instructors.

Participants will also learn safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills, and appropriate responses to medical emergencies.

Cost is $45 per attendee. Participants must bring their own lunch, with no nuts due to allergy restrictions.

To register for this class or for more information, call ResourceLink at (480) 728-5414.
