The Sun Lakes Parkinson Support Group will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, in the Mirror Room at Sun Lakes Country Club, 25601 N. Sun Lakes Blvd.
This month the group welcomes Jennifer Eldridge of the ElderVention program sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging Region One, Inc. in partnership with Jewish Family and Children's Service. ElderVention is a free and confidential program designed to help people 55 and over achieve and maintain a healthy emotional life. ElderVention offers transition workshops facilitated by professional staff who lead an eight-week series of discussions on topics such as enjoying life, emotions, images of aging, surviving hardship and healthy relationships. With the holidays approaching, many face a temporary and seasonal sadness. Hear how you can face these feelings and deal with them as she offers tips for enjoying the holidays.
